Introduction
Paco Chinesta, Professeur des universités, ENSAM et Dominique Baillargeat, Scientific executive director, CNRS&CREATE

Biographie : Francisco Chinesta is currently Full Professor of computational physics at Arts et Metiers Institute of Technology (Paris, France), Honorary Fellow of the “Institut Universitaire de France” – IUF- and Fellow of the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering, with major achievements in real-time solution of physics-based models, scientific machine learning, and physics-based and data-driven hybrid models, with more than 500 published papers and many international scientific awards. He received in 2019 the silver medal from the French CNRS and is at present director of the DESCARTES project on Hybrid Artificial Intelligence funded by the NRF at CNRS@CREATE.
Biographie : Dominique BAILLARGEAT is currently full Professor of the University of Limoges (France) on High Frequency Electronics and Nanotechnologies, with Exceptional Grade (National level). Since September 2019, he is full-time in Singapore, where he is the Regional Director of the CNRS in ASEAN as well as the CEO of CNRS@CREATE ,the CNRS’ subsidiary in Singapore.
He was the former director of the International Research Lab CINTRA (CNRS-NTU-Thales) from 2009 to 2013 in Singapore. Then, he was the director of XLIM laboratory (CNRS-University of Limoges) from 2013 to 2019, one of the main lab. on High Frequency Electronics in France.
Prof. Baillargeat is IEEE Fellow for contributions to developments of nanomaterials for RF packaging. He is among the pioneers of the use of nanomaterials for the design and packaging of innovative RF and millimeter-wave components. He has extensive experience in developing passive RF component design methodologies including full-wave EM and circuits simulation tools, and optimization methods.
Since 2021, he is co-investigator in the DesCartes program hosted by CNRS@CREATE and funded by the National Foundation of Singapore. DesCartes is dedicated to smart predictive models for digital twins (DT) of cities of tomorrow. Dominique Baillargeat is in charge of innovation transfer for DT deployment at the city level.
He has been the advisor of 35 graduated Ph.D students. He has co-authored 84 journal publications, 170 conference publications, 4 patents, and 5 book chapters.
