Applications of AI in research and industry
Chaired by Stéphane Requena (Director Innovation & Technology, Genci) and Patrick Fabiani (AI Roadmapping & Advanced Scientific Studies, Dassault Aviation)
Spurred on by the generative AI boom of the past 2 years, the uses of artificial intelligence continue to expand, both in the world of research and in industry. This can be seen both in uses around major foundational models in language processing, vision, multimodality or explainable AI, but also in "AI For Science" approaches in biology/health, development of new materials, drugs or new energies, fundamental physics, decarbonized transport or climate/weather, to name but a few examples.
Interacting with the audience, this session will bring together players from the worlds of research and industry to present concrete examples of the uses of artificial intelligence. The session will discuss issues and methodologies applied or applicable to the verification and validation of answers, or predictions, generated by AI.
