Driving Innovation through Big Data Discover
Martin WALTERS, Director Big Data Analytics EMEA, ORACLE

Abstract : In much the same way that Edison drove innovation 140 years ago around the disruptor of the day – Electricity, companies today must drive innovation around the modern day disruptor – Data.

This presentation addresses best practices to drive innovation through the Big Data Lab, and how then put innovation to work in the Big Data Factory.

Martin is responsible for Big Data & Analytics solutions for Oracle in EMEA. After 10 years working for Siemens in product development and manufacturing, Martin has fulfilled various sales roles in areas as diverse as CAD and PLM, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Business Intelligence at companies such as i2 technologies (Supply Chain Management) and PTC (CAD and PLM). Martin joined Oracle through the Endeca acquisition in early in 2012. He is now based in Munich, Germany, having originated from the north of England.
