Quantum computing : which applications will benefit ?

Turning analog quantum computation into hybrid shallow digital quantum computation

In this talk, we will describe a large class of hybrid algorithms obtained by relaxations of discretization of analog quantum computations. We will detail a proper derivation of this discretization procedure for a particular set of problems, namely combinatorial optimization problems. Then we will briefly describe methods to generate ad hoc quantum circuits implementing such algorithms.

	Biography : After graduating from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Simon Martiel studied at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis where he prepared his PhD on Cellular Automata for non-euclidean, dynamical geometries. Simon joined the Atos Quantum team in 2017 working on quantum programming languages, circuit optimization, and applications.
