Digital and Data Sciences for precision medicine – from projects to reality
The issue of health data at the hospital

Medicine is confronted with the emergence of new technologies in IT: connected health (eHealth), Big Data and artificial intelligence. These innovations can transform cancer care and research with preventive, predictive, personalized and more accurate medicine. To meet these challenges, information must be collected, consolidated, structured, shared, given meaning and analyze it.
The hospital possesses the information it produces but which only represents a part of the care path and it is necessary to collect information from the "real life", produced outside the hospital or by the patient himself. The second challenge is to consolidate all the information (texts, structured data, images…) in a data warehouse. It is necessary to model the disease, to control the quality of the data, to structure the information, to annotate the images in order to interrogate them and visualize the results; all this allows to feed algorithms that use machine learning and deep learning techniques.
During the presentation, we will outline the solutions we use to overcome all these challenges and what are the projects we are conducting.
