We are looking forward to seeing you in New Orleans!

January 20, 2014 - SysFera was, this year again, at the Supercomputing Conference 13 which was held in November at Denver, USA. SysFera has a booth where it showcased the latest version of SysFera-DS and its new features:

  • a more intuitive interface for a better user experience
  • improved support for Cloud Computing platforms
  • statistics the usage of resources, applications and projects, allowing reporting a rebilling of customers and business units.

During the SC13 Exhibitor Forum, SysFera and CINES held a customer-feedback session on the SysFera-DS remote visualization web portal and its usage on the CINES visualization cluster.

At the same time SysFera, along with CNRS, IBM, Inria, and the Institut Français de Bioinformatique, announced the launch of E-Biothon: an experimental Cloud platform dedicated to the acceleration of research on Biology, Genomics and Environment. This platform will allow researchers and the community access, through SysFera-DS, to scientific applications and to the available computing power.

These new features and development are consistent with SysFera's involvement in various national and European research projects. Among those, FP7 project PaaSage is entering its second year and aims to deliver an open and integrated platform to support both design and deployment of Cloud applications, together with an accompanying methodology that allows model-based development, configuration, optimization, and deployment of existing and new applications independently of the existing underlying Cloud infrastructures.
