The Exascale Computing Algorithms & Infrastructures Benefiting UK Research (ExCALIBUR) programme is led by the UK Met Office and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) along with the Public Sector Research Establishment, the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) research councils, including the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), the Medical Research Council (MRC) and the Science and Technologies Facilities Council (STFC).
Atos Quantum Learning Machine – QLM – users amount for a significant part of the overall progress in the Quantum Computing field and they will now be able to rely on each other through their participation in the QLM User Club – or QLUB. This initiative will allow them to get first-hand information on future Atos Quantum developments and to provide feedback on the latest Atos QLM features. This initiative – co-chaired by Total and Oak Ridge National Laboratory – will hold its first online meeting on July 2nd 2020, focusing on industrial applications for quantum computing. As a very active user of the Atos QLM, the CCRT will be a founding member of the QLUB.

More than 70 people were present on February 27, 2020 in the CEA TGCC amphitheater for the 29th Teratec General Assembly. This 1st General Assembly of the year made it possible to take stock of the past year and to draw up the perspectives for the year which begins. in charge for monitoring works on HPC and Quantum computing, among other responsibilities, at the Directorate General for Enterprises of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, spoke at the opening of this GA. A point was made on this occasion on the actions carried out by the public authorities at national and European level.

This Strategic Research Agenda (SRA, with now a fourth release since 2012) is ETP4HPC Association's key recurring deliverable. It is a document that outlines a roadmap for the achievement of HPC capabilities by the European ecosystem, from exascale to pervasive deployments. The milestones set in this SRA help the European Commission and the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking define the contents of the HPC Technology R&D Work Programmes as part of the next European Research programme - Horizon Europe (FP9).
This SRA4 updates the ETP4HPC perspective on the building blocks which make up HPC solutions (supercomputing stack and applications elements), combined with an analysis of a number of more transversal or global 'Research Clusters'.

Composable infrastructure is a new architectural approach that uses NVMe™-over-Fabric to dramatically improve compute and storage utilization, performance, and agility in the data center. With the exponential growth in data, along with the increasing diversity of workflows and demands on IT infrastructure, businesses need to increase speed, agility and time-to-value for their customers.
OpenFlex architecture and products allow storage to be disaggregated from compute, enabling applications to share a common pool of storage capacity. Data can easily be shared between applications, or needed capacity can be allocated to an application regardless of location.

Held early this fall, our General Assembly provided an opportunity to take one complete view on activities and prospects of the Teratec Association, particularly in the context of EuroHPC established by the new Eu-ropean Commission. It was also an opportunity to meet Jean-Marc Grognet, General Manager of Genopole reminding genomics mission and its advances, who also explained why HPC is essential in the work of the Genopole and why he wanted to work closer with Teratec.

| 03/01/2009 - Bull launched the BULL - JOSEPH FOURIER PRIZE to encourage the development of computer simulation in France, in association with GENCI and in partnership with La Tribune.
Bull and GENCI (the French national High-Performance Computing organization) are keen to encourage the development of computer simulation in France, both in the areas of scientific research and industry. The newly-instigated prize also pays homage to the eminent French scientist Joseph Fourier, who held professorial chairs in Paris and Grenoble, and whose work made such a major contribution to the mathematical modeling of physical phenomena. |

Les journées TERATEC se sont déroulées le 3 et 4 juin 2008 au Génocentre à Evry (91) avec la participation exceptionnelle de Mme Valérie Pécresse, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche et de M. Janek Potočnik, Commissaire Européen à la Recherche et à la Science. |

Dans le cadre du développement de la Technopole TERATEC, la Communauté de Communes de l’Arpajonnais et SODEARIF (Filiale de Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France spécialisée en développement immobilier) annoncent le lancement du Campus TERATEC qui regroupera dans le sud de l’Ile-de-France, à Bruyères-le-Châtel, des laboratoires et des entreprises autour du développement de la Simulation numérique et du Calcul Haute Performance.. |

A cette occasion, l’Assemblée Générale procèdera au renouvèlement des membres du bureau de l’association TERATEC. Chaque partenaire souhaitant devenir membre du bureau devra présenter sa candidature au Président de l’association. |

Evènement largement ouvert de promotion, de rencontre, d'échange et de réflexion dans le domaine de la simulation haute performance, le colloque annuel TERATEC a de nouveau remporté un vif succès auprès des acteurs du domaine HPC (High Performance Computing). Le terrain de la zone TERATEC a été acquis en Novembre 2006 par la Communauté des Communes de l’Arpajonnais et le CEA auprès de la ville de Bruyères le Châtel. Cette zone va voir la construction d’une part d’un ensemble immobilier de bureaux et d’autre part d’un centre de calcul pour l’accueil des futures machines pétaflopiques. Cet ensemble permettra pour 2010 de créer la première technopole européenne dédiée à la simulation haute performance avec la création d’un nombre important d’emplois. |
