Reconciling Digital Sobriety and Performance: Is it Possible?
Chaired by Marc Morere (Research & Innovation Manager, Airbus) and François Bodin (Professeur, IRISA)

In the face of environmental urgency and rising energy costs, optimizing computing resources is becoming crucial, both in HPC centers and in the Cloud. The aim is to develop strategies which, while supporting production requirements, minimize resource consumption.

The range of technical solutions is wide, including both on-premise and cloud options. To maximize their effectiveness, close collaboration between users and suppliers, based on co-design, is essential.

This approach must also monitor and control potential rebound effects.

This workshop explored strategies adopted in the industry to navigate between the imperatives of digital sobriety and performance.
